Christmas Cupcakes!!

It is the 1st of December, so it is now time to get into Christmas cupcakes! Here are some of the ones we are doing.

1st Birthday Cake

Its a busy month with 2 November babies. This is my daughters 1sts birthday cake, and Matilda and of her curls!!

Lots of green crosses

A really bad picture, but a cupcake tower with 120 cupcakes with green crosses for Wellington Free Ambulance was the request here.

Ruby's Birthday!

It was my daughter Ruby's 3rd birthday on the weekend, and Ruby was so so excited..... we had been practicing her birthday for weeks..... practising singing happy birthday to her dolls, and blowing out pretend candles!!
We had a cupcake decorating party for Ruby and her friends, as well as take home gifts of mini cupcakes in egg cases..... they were very well recieved!!

1st Birthday Cupcake Tower

The theme for this 1st birthday was pink butterflys..... including a top cake, all in vanilla & chocolate flavours. I think this came up really well.

Lots of dots!

Vanilla Cupcakes with lots of multi-coloured dots was the request for these cupcakes!

Baby Shower

It has been my busiest month yet, with cupcakes for all sorts of events. These chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were for a baby shower (for a baby boy obviously!)

Spooky Cupcakes

With halloween coming up, these 'Spooky' Cupcakes were for a 6th birthday party. They were take home gifts for the kids, and had a combination of pumpkins, spiders, ghosts and all things spooky. Lots of fun to make!!

Birthday Cupcakes

These cupcakes were for Nadias 11th birthday - a combination of Lemon, Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes.
The take home gifts for the guests were these personalised boxes, with the boxes with the initials of the girls on them.

Cupcake Stands

We are accumulating more cupcake stands that we can hire out for weddings and events when you want to make your own cupcake towers.
We have stands made from cardboard, perspex, wood, china.... in 2, 3, 4 and 5 tier. Email me for more information.

Rainbow Dust - Edible Glitter Products

I use Rainbow Dust glitter on a lot of my cupcakes - the iridescent shimmer it gives is just gorgeous, and I have a lot of people asking me where you can buy it.

We are pleased to now be stocking a range of the Rainbow Dust products. They will be available from our stall at at the City Market, Chaffers Dock, Wellington every Sunday morning from 8.30 - 12.30 and available from our website when I get round to listing them! In the meantime, you can email me at christina@cupcakesweeties.co.nz for more information or to purchase. The cost is $11 each, but you only use such a tiny amount that it will last you a long time.

We had a stand and the recent 'What a Girl Wants' fundraising evening for Khandallah Creche - so it was all the pinks for the cupcakes.

Fathers Day Cupcakes

A while ago now, but I am finally getting around to posting some of the fathers day cupcakes we did! It happened that we were at the City Market on Fathers day, and obviously a lot of dads have a sweet tooth, as we sold out, and the cupcakes with 'Dad' on them were the first to go!

Other Updates....

I have been having all sorts of issues with my courier deliveries, so now unfortunatly I have had to put all deliveries on hold. I can still do the larger orders, but until we can get the cupcakes delivered consistently in excellent condition, we can no longer do the 'send a sweetie' gift box of 6 cupcakes delivered. Its been really successful - so thank you to everyone who has ordered them, and if you have an order you really want to send, do ask, as I might be able to do the delivery myself, but the answer will probably be a no - although you are welcome to come and pick up any orders from Lower Hutt.

Craft 2.0 Update

Wow..... what a fantastic day! We sold out of cupcakes by about midday - and I thought I had gone way overboard, baking about 220 cupcakes! It was a fantastic event, and I had a wonderful helper Sarah (thank you!!), and I couldn't have done it without her.

I also sold a lot of other product lines I have been working 0n - cupcake wrappers, papers, decorations, sprinkles and kits, which went down really well.
So now it is back to getting my supplies up again for the next fair!

Craft 2.0

I will be having a stall at Craft 2.0 at the New Dowse, in Lower Hutt on Saturday 25 July - selling cupcakes and all things cupcake! This will include mixes, decorations, kits, wrappers...... and whatever else I get the time to make between now & then! So please come down for a cupcake or 2...
